After the break Greyhound found themselves defending a scrum on their 5 meter line. After holding up Towcester on the line, the Roses eventually broke through adding an unconverted try to their score.
Some great defensive play followed from Greyhound’s pack turning over the ball and going blind, Beth Jones at inside centre made a superb run the length of the pitch, setting up Alys Probert for her first try of the season. Laura Jenkins added the extras to secure a commanding lead.

Two tries from Carly Whent followed in quick succession and Laura Jenkins adding the extras saw the game wrap up with another win for Greyhound Ladies 10-43.
Captain’s comments: The girls were outstanding today, a huge team effort. We’re not the biggest of packs, but the girls are skilled at it, there aren’t many packs that can live with us there and they won us a lot of ball today.
Stand out moments:
Beth Jones had a phenomenal game at 12 and set up a lot of the breaks.

Chelsie Jones had a fantastic first game too, cannot fault her attitude and just got stuck in.

Laura Jenkins at 10 was everywhere and her kicking was on great form. Her link-up with Abbie at 9 worked really well too as that’s a new partnership.

Back of the match: Molly Harrison, great tackling and support play. She’s very quiet on the pitch, but today made herself known.
Forward of the match: Carly Phillips, playing at 8 she made her mark early on.
Opposition player for Greyhound: Abbie Roberts.
Accumulated total points:

Carly Whent: 12 tries

Georgina Evans: 3 tries
