Club Day Out – February 3rd 2019

A small club with a big heart is what Greyhound RFC is all about. On Sunday 3rd February 2019 the club arranged a day out at neighbouring Worcester Warriors to not only support them in a successful Premiership Cup campaign, but to grace the hallowed turf of Sixways Stadium with a lap of the pitch before lining up in the guard of honour as Warriors took on Wasps.

A beautiful (but cold) sunny winter’s day proved to be worthwhile, Warriors put on a real show, winning with a bonus point which secured a home semi-final against Saracens this Friday. The BT crew and TV cameras were at the match which was certainly worth tuning in to!

The junior section did us proud, with a fantastic turnout and representing the club in front of the cameras with big smiles all round! The club plans to put on another Big Club Day out so keep an eye out on Facebook for details. Don’t forget, the club will take care of ordering the tickets and putting on transport – all you’ve got to do is enjoy the day!

If you want to be a part of the club in any capacity, coach, volunteer, club member or have children interested in rugby – get in touch with the club or bring them along to Greyhound RFC at the City Sports Club Sundays from 10:30am. We offer a few taster sessions to see what you think before committing – but trust us – you and they will love it!
